The short version: this site collects nothing about you while you read it. If you send us a message, we store what you write — until we have answered you.

No cookies, no tracking

marversch.no sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. The site also loads nothing from other services — no third-party fonts, maps, videos, buttons or analytics. Everything you load comes from our own server. We use no visitor measurement, and the web server keeps no log of who visits. That is why we never ask for your consent: there is nothing to consent to.

The contact form

If you submit the form on the contact page, we store your name, your email address, the message and the time. The purpose is the obvious one: to be able to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries you choose to send us (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).

Your IP address is used at the moment you submit, to stop the form being abused for bulk sending. It is not stored. We collect no browser information.

Enquiries are deleted no later than twelve months after they arrive, and earlier once the matter is closed — both on the server and in the mailbox. We never use them for marketing, and we do not put you on any list.

Where the data sits, and who sees it

Messages are stored on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Falkenstein, Germany, and are sent at the same time by email to our mailbox at Domeneshop in Norway, so that we can see that you have written. Both are within the EEA. No data is transferred outside the EEA, and none is shared with anyone. Are Schrøder-Nielsen is the only person who reads it.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to the processing. Ask through the contact form or by post to the address below, and we will see to it. If you believe we process data in breach of the rules, you may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
